Privacy policy

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, DSGVO) is:

ebrk UG (haftungsbeschränkt) · Pflegehilfe Deutschland
represented by its managing director Benedikt Krause
Ginsterweg 2a, 41379 Brüggen
Phone: +49 (0)176 60812012
Email: info@care-assistant.com

Data protection officer: Rolf Krause, reachable at the same postal and email address (subject “Datenschutz”).

2. Principles

We take the protection of your personal data seriously. We process personal data exclusively within the framework of the statutory provisions (GDPR (DSGVO), BDSG). This website is deliberately designed to collect as little data as possible: no cookies are set, no tracking or analytics services are used and no external fonts or content delivery networks are loaded from third parties. A notice banner informs you about this; if you close it, your browser merely stores this decision locally (localStorage, entry ca_hinweis_ok, not transmitted to us).

3. Server log files

When you visit this website, the web server automatically collects information transmitted by your browser (so-called server log files). As a rule, these are:

Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (DSGVO); our legitimate interest lies in the secure and stable operation of the website and in defending against attacks. The log files are automatically deleted after 14 days and are not combined with other data.

4. Hosting

This website and the associated application run on a server rented by us in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main. The data centre is operated by Akamai Technologies (brand “Linode”). The provider processes the resulting data exclusively on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions; the basis is a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR (DSGVO). The data is stored in Germany.

5. Contacting us

When you submit the contact form, the data you enter (first and last name, email address, phone number, care provider, subject and your message) is transmitted to our server and forwarded from there as an email to our mailbox. You will also receive an acknowledgement of receipt at the address you provided. Emails are sent via our email provider united-domains; beyond that, we do not pass the data on to third parties. To protect against automated requests, we limit the number of submissions per IP address; for this purpose the IP address is held in working memory only for the duration of this check and is not stored. If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details exclusively to handle your enquiry (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b or f GDPR (DSGVO)). This data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose, unless statutory retention periods prevent this.

6. Orders via this website

When you submit an order, we process the data you enter: first and last name, company or care service where applicable, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number where applicable, your comment as well as the items ordered and the invoice amount. This information is required to conclude the contract; without it we cannot carry out the order.

In addition, we record that you have accepted the terms and conditions and taken note of the information on the right of withdrawal – this is our proof under consumer law. To prevent automated and abusive orders, we store your IP address in shortened form (the last group of digits is replaced by a zero; for IPv6 the rear blocks are removed); it is therefore not possible to trace it back to your connection.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (DSGVO) (performance of the contract), and for the shortened IP address Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (DSGVO). You will receive an order confirmation by email, which also contains the information on the right of withdrawal; as with contact requests, it is sent via united-domains. To deliver physical goods, we pass your name and delivery address on to the shipping company commissioned by us. We retain the order data for as long as statutory retention obligations under commercial and tax law apply; it is then deleted.

7. External links

This website links to the “Care-Assistant” application (care-assistant.com or mobile.care-assistant.app). When you click these links, the privacy provisions there apply. The operators of external pages are solely responsible for their content.

The Meeting Point for care companions (profiles, requests, messages, matching and assignment planning) runs entirely within this application. The privacy policy of the platform at care-assistant.com/datenschutz describes which data is processed there. The contractual terms for matching can be found in the Matching Terms.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR (DSGVO) you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing (Art. 21). To exercise your rights, an informal message to the contact details given above is sufficient.

9. Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data (Art. 77 GDPR (DSGVO)). As a rule, the competent authority is the supervisory authority of your habitual place of residence or of our registered office (Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, the North Rhine-Westphalia data protection commissioner).

10. Updates

This privacy policy will be updated whenever the website or the legal situation changes.
