Frequently asked questions

Which tasks may care companions take on?

Companionship and support without any skilled care component. Every task has a minimum qualification (Q0 companionship up to Q4 qualified nurse) – anyone who does not have it is not even suggested for requests involving care tasks.

What does a companion on a Minijob cost?

With pay of €603, 31.17% in contributions to the Minijob-Zentrale are added, around €791 a month in total, plus accident insurance.

Is it worthwhile for older staff?

Yes: after reaching the statutory retirement age, up to €2,000 a month from employment subject to social insurance can remain tax-free (Aktivrente). This makes 10 to 30 hours a week attractive for pensioners.

When do we pay a matching fee?

Only when your home care service and the companion both confirm after getting to know each other – a one-off €100 plus VAT per match. Searching, suggestions and contact are free of charge.
